Setup email in Outlook Express / Outlook 2000

Outlook 2000/Outlook Express

  1. Open Outlook.
  2. Click on 'Tools'.
  3. Click on 'Accounts'.
  4. Click 'Add'.
  5. Select Mail.
  6. It will take you through a wizard. First enter your name under the Display Name field.
  7. Click Next.
  8. Enter your e-mail address.
  9. Click Next.
  10. Select POP3.
  11. Enter the incoming mail server,
  12. Enter the outgoing mail server,
  13. Click Next.
  14. Enter your e-mail address  ( as your 'Account Name'.
  15. Enter your password.
  16. Click Next.
  17. Click Finish.
  18. Click on 'Tools'.
  19. Click on 'Accounts'.
  20. Select the account we just added (possibly named
  21. Click on 'Properties'
  22. Click on the 'Servers' tab.
  23. Check the My server requires authentication box.
  24. Click on the Settings button.
  25. Make sure Use same settings as my incoming mail server is selected.
  26. Click 'OK'.
  27. Click 'OK' to close window.
